Where to Stay
The Scenic Rim is an amazing place to explore and has so much to offer visitors – fresh country air, stunning mountain views, farm-gate producers and whole host of agritourism experiences. In addition to your visit to Summer Land Camels, it just makes sense to plan a couple of extra days to check out all the area has to offer.
To help you out we’ve put together a list of some recommended accommodation – starting with the closest in proximity to Summer Land Camels, then Boonah and Kalbar which are a couple of lovely quintessential country towns, followed by the rest of the Scenic Rim.

Kalbar and Surrounds
18 minutes from Summer Land Camels- This is a little town with big views towards the Great Dividing Range. It boasts some lovely shops, a café, a country pub with great food and more. Kalbar is a friendly town that is also home to a number of popular events.
Hermann House
Herrmann House is located at 37 George Street, Kalbar, Queensland. Originally, the site housed one of Kalbar’s oldest houses. It sat there by itself, since the turn of the century. Then recently, another historic Kalbar home was moved onto the same site to help create the big, beautiful country homestead that stands proudly there today.
