Summer Land Camels Markets
When it comes to events at Summer Land Camels, our Markets top the charts! Our fans and followers get excited, invite friends and come out to the farm for a fantastic day out. We generally do 4 market days per year, and they each have their own flavour.
The common themes are great food, great live music, a fun atmosphere and some fantastic stalls. Our Easter Markets are the first ones for the year and we hold this one during the Easter School Holidays. Winter school holidays brings us to the Scenic Rim Eat Local Week program and so our Eat Local Week Markets are part of that program with a distinct local flavour that showcases what our region has to offer in food, beverages and hand-made goodies.
Buy From The Bush Festival - September
For the September School Holidays in 2021 we will host the inaugural Buy From The Bush Queensland Festival at Summer Land Camels, incorporating what has previously been our Spring Markets. This is an exciting event - Battling families from the bush have banded together to bring the bush to within reach of the city for a festival involving rural and regional food, wine, tourism, products and more.
We’ll still have our amazing regular stall holders in addition to the Buy From the Bush peeps, along with centre stage entertainment, live music, a kids corner and of course farm tours and camel rides.
“The festival at Summer Land Camels is the next exciting development and will provide an amazing opportunity to connect people from the city with regional and rural communities,” said Mrs Brennan, founder of Buy From The Bush QLD.
“We’re making it easy and affordable for bush businesses to sell their products and services.” Come along for a great day to connect with families and businesses from regional and rural Queensland and help support them.
Christmas Markets – November
When it comes to gift shopping, you can’t go past our Christmas Markets! Held early in November, this gives you a chance to browse stunning hand-made gifts from local makers while enjoying some great food, wine and live music. You might even want to grab a treat or two for yourself (for all your hard work!) As a special treat for the kids, Santa drops in to give out some early presents. Thank goodness our Camels are on hand to transport Santa, as it’s way too hot in Australia for Reindeer!
Check out our What’s On page on our website and make sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates about our upcoming market days.
