The Fermented Food Festival is back in 2024! Attendees will learn about the amazing health benefits and the role microorganisms play in our overall well-being. The Festival will feature market stalls, fermented cuisine samples and educational presentations by experts and guest speakers. There will be food, drink, markets, and live music. Designed to appeal to everyone from veteran fermenters to people who are just a fan of sourdough and beer, the Fermented Food Festival will be a fun and informative day.

Can you help us to deliver an amazing experience around these topics?

  • A showcasing of fermenting practices from around the globe including making krauts, sourdough bread, kombucha, tempeh, Japanese miso, cheese making, beer brewing, Indian dosa, Ethiopian Injera bread, kefir, wine making and ginger beer.
  • Education about microorganisms including bacteria and fungi and how they are used to preserve and enhance the flavour of food.
  • The health benefits of fermented foods and the role they play in our overall well-being
  • Soil health and the benefits of microorganisms in the garden and in growing food.

Please do not bring imported food products on farm. FMD can stay alive in food and enter the food chain. We appreciate your help in supporting farmers and keeping our camels safe.
