Australian Camel Milk + Australian Beeswax – A match made in heaven!

Australian Camel Milk + Australian Beeswax – A match made in heaven!

Summer Land Camel’s Lip Conditioner combines the power of camel milk and beeswax in a nourishing lip balm.

Keeping your lips protected and moisturised can be a challenge. Chapped lips can be caused by dehydration, sun exposure, vitamin deficiencies, conditions such as eczema or dermatitis or use of poor quality skin products. However, you don’t have to live with dry, chapped lips as there are some amazing products that can be found in nature.

Camel Milk

Good microbes on your skin play a vital role in your overall well-being, as they actively work to reinforce your skin's natural barrier against bad bacteria. And two fantastic natural ingredient for nourishing the skin microbiome are Camel Milk and beeswax.

Camel Milk, known as white gold, has been cherished for thousands of years for its benefits to hair and skin health. Camel milk contains vitamins, minerals, phospholipids, essential fatty acids, alpha hydroxy acids, immune proteins and prebiotics (food for your skin biome). Camel milk supports and promotes a healthy, biodiverse biome, reduces inflammation and stimulates your body to generate healthy youthful skin.

The unique structure of camel milk may penetrate the lower layers of the skin, and its natural antimicrobial and hypoallergenic properties make it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin and those with allergies.

Beeswax

Similar to Camel Milk, in the world of natural skincare, beeswax is a hidden gem and has also been used in beauty treatments for centuries.

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees. It's primarily composed of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols. This unique composition not only makes it an excellent skin care ingredient but also ensures its compatibility with most skin types.

One of the most notable properties of beeswax is its ability to lock in moisture. It creates a protective barrier on the skin surface, which helps to retain moisture and protect the skin from environmental toxins and irritants. This is particularly beneficial for those with dry or sensitive skin and makes it the perfect ingredient for a Lip Conditioner.

Beeswax also has mild antibacterial properties and is rich in Vitamin A. This makes it a great ingredient for use in natural ointments, creams, and lip balms, helping to keep the skin clean and reducing the chances of acne and other skin infections. Vitamin A is known for its skin-rejuvenating properties. Beeswax is a natural source of this vitamin, which helps to promote skin regeneration and can aid in healing scars, reducing wrinkles, and improving the overall texture and elasticity of the skin.

Beeswax is more than just a by-product of honey production; it's a skincare superstar. Likewise, Camel Milk is more than just a novelty item. It’s a tried and true skin health ingredient backed by science.  Both ingredients have moisturizing, antibacterial, and soothing properties which make them ideal ingredients for a variety of skin types and conditions. Embrace the natural goodness of camel milk and beeswax and let your skin glow with health and vitality!

Sourcing 100% Pure Australian Beeswax

At Summer Land Camels, we always try to support Australian businesses where possible, although this is a challenge in the skincare industry.

Research and testing by the Australian Honey Bee Industry Council (AHBIC) has shown that a huge percentage of imported beeswax coming into Australia is contaminated or totally fraudulent in that it is paraffin, a petrochemical product. Not good!

We purchase our 100% Australian beeswax directly from beekeepers who actually harvest and melt the wax so they know exactly which forest it’s been produced in. Based in NSW, the company is called The Beekeeper Group and their family have been beekeepers for four generations. They take pride in running their family business and look after their bees with love and compassion. Guaranteed 100% Australian beeswax with no additives ever!
