Summer Land Camels | Harrisville, Scenic Rim QLD

Summer Land Camels is Australia’s largest camel farm and dairy, and we’re looking for a practical, confident and enthusiastic person to join our camel and tourism team. This hands-on role involves camel handling, training and care, as well as assisting with camel rides and providing a great experience for our visitors.

Key Responsibilities
• Handling, training and caring for camels
• Assisting with camel rides and preparing camels for rides
• Following low-stress animal handling practices
• Assisting with feeding, animal health checks and general farm duties
• Providing friendly customer service and tourism host duties
• Maintaining safe, clean and tidy work areas

About You
• Confident working with large animals
• Calm, patient and willing to learn
• Horse handling or training experience highly regarded, but not essential
• Friendly and confident interacting with visitors
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Current driver’s licence

Camel experience is not essential. Training will be provided for the right person.

We’re looking for an experienced Café All Rounder / Barista to join our Homestead Café team at Summer Land Camels. This is a hands-on hospitality role for someone who makes a great coffee, enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy café environment. Our existing role calls for barista experience, hospitality experience and a strong focus on customer service.

What you’ll be doing:
• Preparing and serving quality coffees and other beverages
• Taking orders, serving meals and processing payments
• Providing friendly, professional customer service
• Serving café products, including our camel milk gelato
• Keeping café and dining areas clean and presentable
• Assisting with opening, closing and general café duties

About you:
• Barista experience essential
• Previous café or hospitality experience
• Friendly, confident and professional with customers
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to work well in a busy team environment
• Available for weekend work
• RSA highly regarded
• Reliable transport essential
